Programme of events as part of the Paris exhibition

From May 4 to June 5, 2016: meetings, debates, screenings, workshops, walks…

Throughout May, a programme of meetings, debates, audiovisual sessions, walks or urban tours is organised around the theme of the exhibition (free admission and participation unless otherwise stated).

▪ International meeting of the IVM network with the partners who participated in the programme, experts and winners, on Wednesday 4 May from 9am to 1.30pm at the Françoise Sagan Media Library.

▪ Cinéma de passages: In partnership with the Cinémathèque de Grenoble, the IVM offers a series of four film screenings, screenings of short films and film extracts accompanied by a discussion, created by Nicolas Tixier and Pascal Amphoux. Weekly sessions Wednesday evening at 8:00 pm:

— May 11: “from the passage of images to the image of passages”, animated by Guillaume Meigneux
— May 18: “the body, the passage and the camera”, animated by Nicolas Tixier
— May 25: “passages for the imagination” led by Sylvain Angiboust
— June 1st: “the real or imagined passage: what can cinema do? “, hosted by Habiba Djahnine; on June 1, the African short films produced following the scriptwriting competition organized by the IVM, in the presence of the directors, will be screened.

▪ Workshop and debate “Pedagogy of the passage: Identifying the barriers, teaching the passages”.

This workshop will be led by teachers from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, the School of Architecture Paris La Villette, the Mackenzie University of São Paulo, the School of Architecture of Antwerp and the School of Architecture of Nantes, on Friday, May 20 at 6 pm at the Passage du Désir (guided tour of the exhibition at 5 pm).

▪ Travel, walks and exploration session:

— Passages between Seine and Marne

Walking tour in the Val-de-Marne, from the banks of the Seine de Choisy-le-Roi to the port of Bonneuil-sur-Marne (exploration of possible fragmentations, barriers and passages), organised by Le Voyage Métropolitain, on Saturday 28 May at 9.30 am. Public restitution, exchanges and guided tour of the exhibition on Saturday, June 4 at 2pm at the Passage du Désir. Information and registration on www.levoyagemetropolitain.com

— The Parisian covered passages

In collaboration with the association Des Mots & Des Arts, these walks allow you to discover some of the most beautiful covered passages in Paris (the Jouffroy Passage, the Verdeau Passage, the Panorama Passage, and the Desire Passage) which tell the story of modern Paris and each evoke the memory of the personalities who crossed them, mixed with the novel characters who knew how to immortalize them. Two commented walks are planned on Saturdays, May 21 and June 4, at 3 p.m., followed by a guided tour of the exhibition. Information and registration at www.desmotsetdesarts.com

— We write about everything that moves!

Organized by the Second Group, this active exploration session of the public space will take place on Sunday, May 22nd at 10 am. Guided tour of the exhibition on Friday 27 May at 6 pm, followed at 7 pm by a public reading and presentation of the images and collections from the outing.
